At the start of 2016 I received a phone call which turned out to be the best 5 minutes I could have spent for the future of my company – I agreed to see Matthew from Action Coach to see if he could help me.

I hadn’t realised what an asset I had until Matthew evaluated the business and planned where it could go from here.  I needed a fresh pair of eyes from the outside to give me confidence and the tools to take the next step.

Together we set ambitious targets to drive the profitability and growth of the business.  The quarterly planning meetings we attend with Matthew helped us focus where we needed to work on the business and enables us to plan our investments.  The meetings highlighted our ability to invest surplus profits into improvements to enhance our efficiency and increase our production volume.

The proof is in the pudding – since 2014 to 2017 we have increased our profits from £62088 to over £275000 with a 150% increase in turnover.  We have invested over £200,000 in new equipment including a robotic stacking machine enable us to eliminate pinch points effectively doubling the potential capacity of the production facility.  Matthew recently revalued the company and it is at least doubled in value.

Matthew has been essential to our success and has enabled to us to our next stage of development to expand into a new building increasing our floor space by 30%.  Together with a smarter set of offices and a well-planned factory layout this will enhance our professional image to the industry in order achieve our 3 year target of £400,000 profit.

I can put hand on my heart and say without Matthew and Action Coach this would not have happened – he unlocked skills we didn’t know we had and gave us tools we could use in many guises to develop us all into better managers and owners of the company.
